MANILA – Philippine National Police chief Ronald dela Rosa on Tuesday said Ronnie Dayan, the former driver and alleged bagman of Senator Leila de Lima, has promised to become a “friendly witness” in the House probe into the alleged proliferation of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prison. Dela Rosa said Dayan was “arrested” in San Juan, La Union before noon today following a “literal chase” with Pangasinan and La Union cops. “Matagal ito na operation dahil nagtago siya ng husto, nasa bundok siya nagtago, parang close to ermitanyo,” Dela Rosa said. “All the while we were looking for him, siya ay nagtago sa Sitio Bato, Barangay Lacong, San Gabriel, La Union."
