War on DRUGS: PNP Next Crackdown on Upscale BARS

Anytime Police will scour some high-end bars and the famous nightspot at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Makati and Eastwood, especially the popular hangouts for young people and showbiz personalities from prominent families.

According to the National Capital Region Police Office ( NCRPO PNP) director, Chief Supt. Oscar Albayalde, although now they are not yet getting reports or information about showbiz personalities involved in drugs, allegedly they certainly will not survive if any.

"In showbiz there is no report yet with regards to showbiz personalities involved in illegal drugs, we're (PNP) taking just information," said Albayalde.

In fact, Albayalde said set to sign the owners of high-end bar in a memorandum of agreement with the police to carry out the measures.

"They are willing to allow our civilian police to conduct surveillance on their bar, owners are very cooperative to eliminate speculation that their clubs are using as distribution of illegal drugs, particularly those ecstacy, "said Albayalde.

BGC and Makati allegedly frequented by wealthy youth as well as in Eastwood City where the high-end bars and believe to be rampant sale of party drugs.
