Philippines High-Security Passport Just 5-day Processing

Starting today (August 15, 2016), Filipino who wants to go abroad will receive a new "high-security passport" according to MalacaƱang.

The new passport contains an impressive design of each region of the country and also available to the applicant within five days.

To counterfeited, it contains "intaglio printing" that commonly used in printing money and the "printing of the coat of arms using variable optical illusion where ink color varies at different angle". Also with an additional security feature such as passport microchip containing personal data of the applicant and invisible UV flourescent ink that elaborate design when UV light.

The new APO printing system increases the production speed of the new passports to 35%, according to Secretary Martin Andanar.

This means that the new passport printing system results to delivery of passports from the press to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to an average of 5 days compared to 7-14 days previously, assured Andanar.

e-TRIKE PROJECT OF MANILA WITH FREE CHARGING STATIONS

MANILA - To support the campaign against pollution, the Manila City government build a free charging stations for electric tricycles (e-trikes) to be launched in the city in September. Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada coordinated with Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) for the construction of charging stations for free to use by e-trike drivers in the city. The E-trike project is scheduled to launch on September 15, where 384 e-trikes are distributed to tricycle drivers that will be owned by them within five years period, through the "boundary - premium".
