Monthly Supplies of Rice for PNP, AFP, BFP and PCG

Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno provides good news to members of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as the government gives additional benefits starting this September.

Diokno announced that 150,000 members of PNP, 130,000 in the AFP, 22729 from BFP and 8,835 from PCG will be receiving supplies of 20 kilograms of rice monthly.

The budget secretary did not announce how much from the government's budget was allocated to the rice although it is presumed that the National Food Authority (NFA) will supply the rice.

e-TRIKE PROJECT OF MANILA WITH FREE CHARGING STATIONS

MANILA - To support the campaign against pollution, the Manila City government build a free charging stations for electric tricycles (e-trikes) to be launched in the city in September. Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada coordinated with Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) for the construction of charging stations for free to use by e-trike drivers in the city. The E-trike project is scheduled to launch on September 15, where 384 e-trikes are distributed to tricycle drivers that will be owned by them within five years period, through the "boundary - premium".
